Empowering Mizoram Sports (EMS)
Empowering Mizoram Sports (EMS) is a 10‑year, state-wide initiative (2025–2035) led by the Government of Mizoram under Handholding Scheme in coordination with Mizoram State Sports Council to systematically identify, train and elevate young athletes (8 - 15 years of age) from every village in Mizoram. Built around three linked pillars — grassroots coaching and digital athlete registration, district and state tournaments and residential high‑performance coaching with infrastructure upgradation. EMS creates a transparent, merit‑based pathway from first training session to national and international competition, with an eye toward the 2036 Olympics. By combining community engagement, modern coaching and data‑driven monitoring, EMS aims to establish Mizoram as a hub of sporting excellence for the next generation.
